Privacy Policy

Last updated — 2026-09-26

Ame Works (the "Service") collects an email address so that we can write to you about the first release and the product, and occasionally ask for your thoughts as we shape it. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

The Service is operated by Morrove (Yuta Yamamori), who is the data controller for the purposes of applicable data protection law.

1. What we collect

We collect only the following:

  • Your email address
  • Your language preference (English or Japanese)
  • The dates on which you signed up and confirmed your address

2. What we do not collect

  • Your IP address. Our providers see it when you submit the form and when a page loads, for bot protection and for traffic counts. Neither of us stores it against your visit.
  • Your name, postal address, telephone number, or any other personal detail.
  • Cookies, tracking pixels, or any other device identifier. This site sets no cookies. Our analytics counts page views without cookies, local storage, or fingerprinting, so there is nothing to consent to.

3. Why we use it

  • To send you a confirmation link so we know the address is yours
  • To send occasional product updates and news about the first release
  • To occasionally ask for your thoughts as we shape the product. Answering is always optional.
  • To prevent automated and fraudulent sign-ups

We do not use your address for any other purpose.

4. Legal basis

We process your email address on the basis of your consent, which you give by entering your address and then opening the confirmation link we send you. We record the time of that confirmation as evidence of consent.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.

5. Service providers

We use the following providers to operate the Service. They process data on our behalf and under contract:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, database storage, bot protection (Turnstile), and traffic measurement (Web Analytics)
  • Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) — delivery of the confirmation email. Resend retains delivery logs for a limited period.

6. International transfers

Our providers are based in the United States, so your email address is transferred outside Japan and outside the European Economic Area.

We have data processing agreements in place with both of them, incorporating the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Resend is additionally certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. When you use it, we erase the encrypted copy of your address and keep only a one-way fingerprint of it, so that we can tell the address has opted out without being able to read it again. If you would prefer that nothing at all remains, write to us and we will delete the record outright.

If an email to your address cannot be delivered, or is reported as spam, we stop sending to it and erase the encrypted copy in the same way.

We may also delete the list in full if the project is discontinued.

8. How we protect it

Your email address is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it is written to our database, and the encryption key is held separately from the data. We store a keyed hash of the address so that we can detect duplicate sign-ups without keeping the address in readable form.

9. Your rights

You may ask us to:

  • Confirm whether we hold your address, and give you a copy of it
  • Correct it if it is wrong
  • Delete it
  • Restrict or object to how we use it
  • Provide it to you in a portable format

10. Contact and complaints

To exercise any of the rights above, or to ask anything about this policy, write to contact@morrove.com. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are in Japan, you may contact the Personal Information Protection Commission.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date shown above. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
